I am so happy that it's possible to climb this very old chestnut tree! It's so sacred and beautiful and wise. It's just a big pleasure to be in it. It doesn't go that high because the top part has rotted and broken off, but there is this particular offshoot toward the field that is very easy to get to and very lovely to sit on. A big recommend, but watch out not to peel too much of the old bark at its stem off because it is very vulnerable in some way there.
