Wow, I had bookmarked this hornbeam, but it's really quite something! The first part of the ascent is really fun because you have to jam yourself between two of the branches to get to the real canopy. That's a really fun part, and then you can really, really climb up and up and up in the canopy. You can get, I think, at least about 10 m high, you get surprising really high in it. You have a beautiful view of the sky from the perspective of the forest. Very lovely! There's even a whole extra branch of the canopy on the left that I still want to go explore sometime later. On the way back, as usual with hornbeams, it's very smooth, so watch out for slipping. Descend the way you ascended, and still, I got myself a lot of scratches from it.
